The City of Omaha has contracted Great Plains Tree Care to remove the city trees.
The Emerald Ash Borer is an invasive species that can cause trees to become weak and brittle once it has infested Ash trees. The affected Ash trees become unstable, so the trees themselves present a hazard. Rather than treat them every 2 years, the City of Omaha has elected to remove the trees.
You can elect to have the trees treated.
You do have the choice of treating the tree; however, you will be responsible for the cost of that treatment, which consists of a trunk injection. Please contact us for a free estimate if you are interested.
The Stumps will be Left Behind
The infected Ash tree is the public hazard, not the stump. The City of Omaha has elected to remove the trees but not the stump. You can elect to have the stump ground down; however, you will be responsible for the cost of the stump grinding. Please contact us for a free estimate of our special city pricing if you’re interested.
For the proper completion of the job, Great Plains Tree Care studies and continuously rehearses the most advanced techniques involving tree safety in the industry.
For your peace of mind, we are properly certified, licensed and insured.
